Have you experienced a summer without an air conditioning unit? Have you ever tried to get through the long, hot months of June, July and August with a faulty central air conditioning unit? A fully functioning A/C unit is a necessity, particularly when the mercury starts to rise. We provide replacement and installation of old and inefficient central, air conditioning units, giving you the peace of mind that comes with a reliable new air conditioning system. There are a number of reasons that your water heater installation must be completed by a qualified party. First of all, it must be the right size so that it can handle your hot water needs. Plus, only a professional water heater installation in Seattle, WA can ensure that the system operates safely and effectively. Call today to discuss your water heater installation options.
Our technicians explain all of your options before beginning the repair, so you can decide whether a repair or replacement is best for you. Our No Surprises Pricing—including charging by the job, not by the hour—means the price we quote you is the price you pay. If you decide that replacing your furnace is the best course of action, we can install a new, high-efficiency model in its place.
An annual inspection of your unit can ensure that the various potential problems mentioned above are detected early, and before they require complete replacement. During this inspection, for instance, a professional might find small cracks in your heat exchanger or a faulty seal in your blower motor. Some manufacturer's warranties even require these annual inspections to maintain validity. Typically, your furnace inspection will cost between $80 and $150 depending on the area in which you live and the professional you work with.
Our new HVAC unit started to leak badly, so we set up an appointment for an on-site diagnosis. The two-man crew arrived in the agreed-upon window and was very experienced. They gave off the impression that they had seen just about everything before. They quickly found the source of the problem, fixed it, and explained in full what they were doing and why. They also offered up some helpful tips of what to look for and how to self-diagnose issues.
As you decide, insist that the contractor select models in a range of efficiencies and calculate the annual estimated operating cost of each model you're considering, rather than simply estimating it. The contractor can complete those calculations by plugging information on each unit's AFUE and electrical consumption, local utility rates, and characteristics of your home into one of several computer programs designed to easily calculate estimates. Make sure that the quotes also include the cost of any changes to venting required by any appliances in the home.
You cannot afford to gamble with your comfort. If your air conditioner is not expertly installed, routinely maintained and professionally repaired, you are really putting your comfort at risk. Our Seattle, WA air conditioning experts have the experience and training they need to ensure that your air conditioner is ready for action when temperatures rise.

The national average for furnace replacement is between $1,800 and $2,500. The cost can range dramatically higher depending on the model of furnace you select, any repair work you require, your location and the cost of installation. Furnace installation costs can be more than the furnace itself due to the cost of doing business and the expertise needed to install the HVAC equipment. Installing a new furnace generally requires technical know-how and the proper tools and licensing. It’s best to hire a pro and budget for furnace installation rather than risk potentially unsafe DIY installation. This will ensure your home’s safety. Check to see if your HVAC contractor has the proper licensing to do the job. If you need duct repair or replacement, expect to pay more for your furnace installation costs. The price for duct repair could be an hourly rate ranging on average anywhere from $85 to $150 per hour, with additional costs for parts.

While repair is often the preferred choice, problems like a consistent repeating complication or extra-costly furnace repair parts might start leading you in a different direction. Remember that repair is only the preferred option when the cost of seeking it makes sense! If you’re shelling out for repair every single year, then it might be time to talk to your heating contractor about furnace replacement.
Our services are not limited to only HVAC maintenance, HVAC installation, and HVAC repair. One Hour Air Conditioning and Heating also is concerned with the QUALITY of the air inside your home. Allergies are a big problem. Statistics prove that often the quality of air inside your home can be worse than outside, due to the home being air tight and accumulating dust, molds, and contaminants. Your air conditioning ducts often harbor many of these contaminants. One Hour Air offers Air Duct Cleaning to promote a healthy indoor environment. Call us today or fill out the form on our website for more information.
When you change the temperature on your thermostat, or the temperature in your home drops, a signal lets the furnace's igniter know that it's time to turn on. Igniters exist in both hot water boilers and forced air furnaces, replacing pilot lights as the switch your unit needs to kick on. Naturally, this is a core part in making sure it works reliably. When it stops working, your unit will not longer know when to actually heat your home. Fortunately, furnace igniter repair doesn't tend to be a major budget problem, and costs less than $300 on average.

While there's nothing you can do to guarantee your air conditioner or furnace will never need repairs, there are ways to take better care of your system. Changing out the air filters every 3-6 months, making sure nothing is obstructing or interfering with the outside unit, and keeping all vents unblocked in well-used rooms will help keep your air conditioning and heating system operating efficiently.
Jeff did an all right job. He had all the right answers to make the company and the previous Gary and his helper look good. Unfortunately, the problem I'm having is my own problem. The companies 2 year warranty is only good if everything is okay on the first visit. First visit was very long, expensive. The mechanism for Flushing acted up about a month later and so they had to come back and it was Gary and his helper and Gary rebuilt the mechanism. A month later they acted up again and then Jeff came out. And that's when everything in my house is wrong and it would cost me close to $1,000 to have them straighten it up so that my toilet would flush right. I've been in my house for 50 years and I've never had this problem before. I don't know if it's because of the equipment that's being put in. So the two star rating is not so much against Jeff as it is against the company and their policies. First time I have used by others and it will be the last. And my recommendation to anyone would be don't don't hire Brothers.
Tyson from Brothers was courteous, efficient and familiar with the system, because he had worked with it before. He arrived early within the time window and was professional, fast and made it possible for me to happily spend my day doing other things rather than devoting all day to the sprinkler turn off procedure and worrying if the job had been done properly.
Though forced-air furnaces are normally quite reliable, they can break down. To avoid break downs, it pays to know how to take care of your furnace and fix it when something goes wrong. Inevitably, a furnace stops working when you need it most. Consequently, fixing becomes urgent very quickly. The following instructions will help. With a little do-it-yourself experience and the proper guidance, you can troubleshoot and repair a variety of furnace problems yourself.
Keeping too many heat registers closed can cause heat to build up in your furnace, forcing air out of duct leaks and requiring the blowers to compensate for the added pressure. Essentially, blocking heating vents causes your furnace to work harder and longer than it is intended to work. Further, it forces air pressure to build up in your air ducts, which may both cause and worsens airflow leaks — particularly at joints and seams. Pros recommend keeping at least 80 percent of your heating registers open to prevent unnecessary air from building up in your furnace.
CM Heating performed a Gas Furnace Diagnostic. Customer wanted his echo bee thermastat installed that he had bought himself. Furnace was working fine just wanted his thermastat installed. He thought that the $99 service fee was going to cover that but explained to him what the service fee was for, and explained that there is a additional install fee for the stat. Customer didn’t want to pay the additional fee so I called the office had them listen to the call to make sure we explained to the customer correctly and to see how they would like me to proceed. So I quoted the customer the fee to install the thermostat but he didn’t want us to install it so I left.

Great service, Brandon did a job great job explaining eveything he was doing and showed me all issues and concerns I may have had beyond my initial problem of a clogged drain that responded to. He also did a great job in resolving my repair needs and installation of needed parts to maintain our AC unit. I now have a AC person I trust and can rely on for the future for both repair and maintenance. Thank you Brandon and A team Mechanical for the prompt response and after hour service.
To make sure the unit you select is the right size for your home, the Sears HVAC expert does an electronic load calculation estimate to determine the exact type of heat and air conditioning system that’s just right for your home–we don’t just replace it with the same size unit you currently have. These calculations take into consideration things such as the size of your home, its exposure to the sun and wind, the number and size of windows, how well insulated it is and more. This step is essential so the unit isn’t too small or too large–both waste energy.

A pinging or popping sound coming from the duct work can come from thermal expansion—the ductwork expanding and contracting as it heats and cools.  Or, air blowing past a loose flap of metal can make the sound. Track along the duct runs, listening for the sound. If you locate it, make a small dent in the sheet metal to provide a more rigid surface that’s less likely to move as it heats and cools.
The main purpose of your furnace filter is to ensure that none of the additional materials your fans pull back into the unit - such as hair and dust - actually damage the furnace or its parts. In the process, it also improves air quality in your home. Some annual inspections will include changing and cleaning this part of the unit. That said, you can also clean or change your furnace filteryourself. Costs for new filters range based on brand, but tend to be around $30.
